World Congress On Disabilities

MDA's national magazine, Quest, will be an exhibitor at the World Congress and Exposition on Disabilities in Orlando, Fla., Sept. 18-20.

The annual congress will feature a trade show of products and services for people affected by a wide range of disabilities, as well as a conference program of more than 120 sessions on subjects such as housing, dental care, medications, educational issues, mitochondrial disorders, movement disorders, aging with a disability, family concerns and independence.

There also will be an assistive technology learning center, sports and recreation activities, and an employment symposium and employment pavilion.

Keynote speakers will include Assistant Secretary of Education Robert Pasternack, from the Office of Special Education; Assistant Secretary of Labor W. Roy Grizzard, of the Office of Disability Employment Policy; and Jose F. Cordero, director of the Centers for Disease Control's Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities.
