Proceeds from United We Stand truffle bars going towards Mercy Corps' Comfort for Kids program

Now there is even more reason to treat yourself to a bar of chocolate.

In response to the Sept. 11 tragedy, Seattle Chocolates has created a special United We Stand truffle bar with portions of the proceeds going towards Mercy Corps' Comfort for Kids programs to aid children and families affected by the tragedy in New York City.

Each United We Stand truffle bar is made of European milk and dark chocolate and has a special American flag wrapper.

The United We Stand truffle bars are being sold throughout the Seattle area as well as in select stores across the United States. To date, more than 25,000 bars have been sold.

Mercy Corps' Comfort for Kids program aims at helping children from immigrant, refugee and low-income families in New York City impacted by the Sept. 11 tragedy. Working with nonprofit and corporate partners, Mercy Corps is responding with support and materials on helping children cope with fear, grief, trauma, and promoting healing and tolerance.
