Star of TV's Top-Rated Reality Dating Show Plays Ball for Make-A-Wish Foundation® at RadioShack All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game

The roar of the crowd will give way to the cheers of children as TV star Andrew Firestone takes the field July 13 to play on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® at the 2003 RadioShack All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game in Chicago.

Firestone, who singled out bachelorette Jen Schefft in his televised search for true love, will join movie stars, recording artists, sports stars and baseball legends to compete in the five-inning All-Star celebrity softball game to be televised by ESPN. A $1,000 donation will be made to each player's charity of choice, with Firestone selecting the children's wish-granting charity.

"Family is very important to me," says Firestone, whose family owns and operates the acclaimed Firestone Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, California. "So I am excited to be a part of such a fun family event while helping to grant wishes for courageous children."

Firestone is already an "All Star" for special wish kids like Christopher, 10, Robert, 10, Craig, 15, Michael, 16, and 19-year-old Amanda, who wished to attend the 2003 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game. The kids, who list Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez among their favorite players, will be in the stands for the ceremonial first pitch at Chicago's U.S. Cellular Field when the National League's top players take on the American League athletes.

The 2003 RadioShack All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game will be broadcast by ESPN at approximately 10 p.m. (EDT) Monday, July 14th, immediately following the network's live coverage of the CENTURY 21® Home Run Derby at 8 p.m. (EDT).
