The Southern Region is comprised of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. As JNF's Southern Regional Director, Pearlman plans to serve as an advocate for ecological betterment of the land of Israel within his region. He will be looking at fund raising initiatives that will benefit the land of Israel, particularly in the area of water. "Israel is in the midst of water crisis right now and I plan on doing everything I can to help raise the necessary funds from my region to help alleviate the situation abroad," says Pearlman. Pearlman has extensive experience in fundraising, having spent 5 years with a professional firm that focused on higher education in addition to serving as a fundraiser for Jewish Education. A native of North Miami Beach, Florida, Mr. Pearlman is a graduate of Florida State University. Prior to coming to JNF, Pearlman served as National Account manager for a large Atlanta based chemical company, Niagara National Corporation.
