Food For The Poor sponsors Tuesday of Hope, Uniting in PrayerFood for the Poor DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – September 19, 2001 - Food For The Poor Inc. will be joining religious leaders in sponsoring a special candlelight prayer service for the South Florida community commemorating the victims of the recent attack on the United States. This all-faith service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale and will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Leaders from the community representing churches, synagogues, and mosques will be participating in the Tuesday of Hope all-faith service. The entire South Florida community is invited to join with the Deerfield Beach-based charity that serves the poor in 26 Caribbean and Latin American countries where prayer services will be held at the same time, so that all may be united in prayer. International solidarity, which is so important at this time to our nation, will be celebrated in music, prayer and words of hope for the future.
