Hundreds to Attend "Love Won Out" Seminar

Hundreds are expected to attend Focus on the Family's "Love Won Out" conference, a one-day symposium designed to educate concerned citizens about the myths and facts surrounding homosexuality. The pro-family organization is bringing its fourteenth conference to Charlotte to equip community members interested in understanding and preventing homosexuality with information from experts on the topic.

First Baptist Church
301 South Davidson St., Charlotte, N.C.

"I am concerned about the misinformation continuously circulated regarding homosexuality-especially when it comes to the next generation," said Mike Haley, a "Love Won Out" conference speaker and organizer. "Young people, wrestling with a variety of issues, are being encouraged to 'come out' as a cure for their problems. But there are many, like me, for whom this well-intended advice has led to heartache. I now know that change is possible and I share my testimony in hopes that others will realize there is another option. We encourage the public to come hear another perspective behind this controversial issue."

Focus on the Family has hosted 14 previous "Love Won Out" conferences in the last two years in Columbus, Ohio; Seattle, Wash.; Memphis, Tenn.; Wheaton, Ill.; Sacramento, Calif.; Tampa, Fla.; Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minn.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; San Diego, Calif.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Atlanta, Ga.; and Orlando, Fla. Special sessions for teachers, pastors and youth leaders will be available. Local ministries and organizations will offer resources.
