COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. April 17, 2001- Compassion, a leader in international child development, is partnering with DaySpring Cards, the world's largest publisher of Christian greeting cards, in a strategic alliance of e-cards on compassion.com offering a value added service to child sponsors and others.

A large selection of DaySpring e-cards, for everyday sending situations including birthdays and encouragement, and special occasions like the National Day of Prayer, Mother's Day and Father's Day, is available beginning today on the Compassion Web site. The service is provided to anyone who would like to send an e-card. By "surfing" Compassion's Web site, people also will be able to learn how they can help a child living in poverty.

"E-cards have become a popular and convenient way for friends and family to stay in touch," said Tom Emmons, Internet marketing specialist for Compassion. "At Compassion, we hope that our child sponsors and Web site visitors will take advantage of this service, and in turn their friends and family will become familiar with Compassion and how they too can change the life of even one impoverished child. This is a win-win partnership."

"We are pleased to partner with Compassion and feel there is a strong connection between the two companies in that we both are about offering hope and encouragement," said Stephen Bos, business development manager for DaySpring Cards. "Compassion offers a child hope for a better existence and DaySpring products offer hope and encouragement in daily relationships."
