KBIQ-FM, KGFT-FM, And Compassion International Team Up For Special Dinner And Concert With Phil Keaggy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., July 25, 2000—Local Salem Communications affiliates KBIQ (102.7FM) and KGFT (100.7FM) will host an evening of elegant dining at the landmark Briarhurst Manor Inn in Manitou Springs on July 27 to benefit sponsored children of Compassion International. Wess Stafford, Compassion president and CEO will be the featured speaker, and contemporary Christian music legend Phil Keaggy will perform a 45-minute concert for the expected 300 attendees.

"We are delighted to be able to share this special evening with caring individuals who are interested in learning more about the role they can play in making the world a better place for children in need," notes Stafford. "We are especially pleased to partner with Phil Keaggy, a longtime friend of Compassion, who has helped thousands of children on our behalf."

For three decades, Keaggy has been bringing his own unique brand of music to listeners around the world. And, for nearly 20 years Keaggy has been associated with Compassion. Named one of the world's five best guitarists by Guitar Player magazine, he has received numerous accolades from both mainstream and Christian music aficionados.
