Thousands Of Hospitalized Kids Cheered Up By Generous GiftChildren's Miracle Network Ty, Inc. Donates More Than $2 Million In Beanie Babies And Pillow Pals For Distribution Through Children's Miracle Network's 170 Children's Hospitals (Salt Lake City) – Thousands of children who spent the holidays in the hospital have smiles on their faces thanks to Ty, Inc.–makers of the wildly popular Beanie Babies–and Children's Miracle Network (CMN). Ty distributed more than 300,000 Beanie Babies and Pillow Pals through CMN's network of 170 non-profit children's hospitals to brighten the lives of sick and injured children. The hospitals will share the toys with children in a variety of ways, through programs like Procedure Goody Box, as prizes in patient bingo games, and as patient gifts. "In behalf of the 14 million kids served each year by our participating hospitals, we're very grateful to Ty for their generous contribution," said Clark Sweat, CMN's vice president of marketing. "Ty's kind gift, valued at more than $2 million, will find even greater value in the hearts of hospitalized children throughout the year." "We want our donations to serve as many children as possible," said a Ty spokesperson. "For this reason Children's Miracle Network was an obvious choice to receive our product and we're thrilled to be able to help so many kids in children's hospitals nationwide."
