Ramada And Childreach Launch New Buck-A-Stay ProgramChildreach Stay at Ramada; Help Children Overseas Ramada and Childreach/Plan are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership program designed to increase assistance to children and their communities in the developing world. With Ramada's new national Buck-a-Stay program, the hotel chain seeks to raise $75,000 to build 15 pre-schools in Honduras, one of Childreach's 43 program countries. The simple fundraising approach asks each guest if they're willing to add one dollar to their bill at checkout to support Buck-a-Stay. Ramada then donates 100% of each dollar raised back to Childreach. In turn, the funds are forwarded directly to the school programs in Honduras. Once the first $75,000 is raised for the pre-schools in Honduras, additional funds raised will support the Childreach Children's Emergency Fund. In its first year alone, Buck A Stay will raise $300,000 for some of the world's neediest communities around the world. "By working with Childreach in this wonderful effort, Ramada is demonstrating that we truly offer hospitality with a heart," said Steven J. Belmonte, President and CEO of Ramada. Currently, hundreds of Ramada properties across the country are sponsoring children through Childreach in a seven-year campaign that has generated $1.5 million in sponsorships and donations. Through their partnership with Childreach, Ramada has raised funds to build two health clinics in Zambia, a youth center in Cairo, and rebuilt a primary school in the Dominican Republic after Hurricane Georges destroyed it in 1998.
