Catholic Relief Services (CRS) today launched their new advertising campaign, which also unveils the agency's new logo. The general awareness campaign features staff from CRS' overseas programs and targets Catholic women ages 25-39. Television spots will air in Cleveland, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Philadelphia, with radio ads in corresponding markets. In addition, print ads will be appearing nationwide in both Catholic and secular publications and online.

"Our goal with this initiative is to engage people in a deeper sense of global solidarity; to involve them, through CRS, in the lives of the poor overseas," said Ken Hackett, Executive Director for Catholic Relief Services. "We are inviting a new generation of people – Catholics and others of good will – to more fully live their faith and to work with us."

A major component of the campaign are action kits, materials that can be requested by calling 1-877-HELP-CRS or visiting the web at www.helpcrs.org. The kits contain general information on CRS, as well as information on ways to become involved in supporting the agency's work.

The action kits provide an overview of CRS' work and also explain the ways in which the agency helps to deliver hope along with assistance to those in need. Also included is information on ways to support CRS' advocacy efforts, with guidelines for contacting members of Congress.

Catholic Relief Services is the official relief and development agency of the United States Catholic community. Founded in 1943, the agency provides assistance to people in more than 80 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
