More than $14,000 was raised for Alzheimer's Association chapters in eight U.S. cities during Bankers Life and Casualty Company's first "Forget Me Not Days" community benefit event. Three hundred Bankers agents and employees wearing gardening aprons stood on street corners across America collecting donations and handing out forget-me-not flower seed packets May 9-10 to plant a seed of hope in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. One hundred percent of donations go directly to local Alzheimer's Association chapters. "Forget Me Not Days" is scheduled to roll out in 100 additional cities during the spring of 2004. The Alzheimer's Association is the premier source of information and support for the four million Americans with Alzheimer's disease.
