The Humane Society Launches Revamped Web Site

The Humane Society of the United States today launched its revamped web site - www.hsus.org. The new site features a slick new design, easy navigation and a structure that was created with visitors in mind.

www.hsus.org is the premiere Internet site for news and information about animals and animal protection issues. The site features the popular AnimalChannel streaming media, which provides videos on everything from urban wildlife and mysteries of the deep to humane lifestyles and living with pets.

The site contains five Animal Information Centers that guide visitors to news and background information on pets, wildlife, farm animals, marine mammals and animals in research. Other areas include current and archived news releases, newsletters and current information on bills pending in Congress and in state legislatures.

The site is sure to become a favorite stop for animal advocates, arming them with arguments in favor of animal protection measures and providing contact information and links to decision-makers who can make a difference for animals.

"Our new web site provides a wealth of information about animals," said Patricia Forkan, HSUS executive vice president. "From finding a solution to a pet behavior problem to making your backyard inviting to songbirds, hsus.org has it all."

The site is designed for a wide variety of audiences. Some highlights of the web site include:

- Information on membership and donations. The site offers numerous ways for people to support The HSUS, including purchases through The HSUS Marketplace and information on planned giving.

- Resources for pet caregivers on locating rental housing that accepts pets and preventing dog bites, as well as basic dog and cat care information.

- A clickable United States map that allows for quick access to information on state animal protection legislation.

- An Action Center that provides animal advocates with crucial information. · Tips on humane living, including recipes and information on consumer choices that impact animals.

HSUS worked closely with Euro RSCG Circle (NASDAQ: CIRC), which provided the design and site architecture as well as technical support.
