Christ is the Answer Crusade With Franklin Graham Concludes With More Than 7,000 Commitments to ChristBilly Graham Evangelistic Assn The last day of the "Christ is the Answer" Crusade with Franklin Graham kicked off with a Children's Crusade in the morning that drew 41,000 children and adults to Arruda Stadium. As the children entered the event, they were given paper Brazilian and American flags which they waved from the stands. After a time of praise music, which included several numbers from the Children's Crusade choir, a drama team presented the evangelistic production "Little Maria Discovers Jesus." At the invitation to accept Jesus, more than 3,300 people made decisions for Christ. At the final meeting of "Christ is the Answer" that evening, more than 74,000 people -- the largest attendance of the Crusade -- came to hear a message of hope from Franklin Graham. "Maybe you've come tonight because you see the failures in your own life -- your life is in such a mess right now that you don't know what to do or where to go," said Graham. "Come to Jesus Christ tonight. ... It's not enough to be religious. You must be born again." Over the three days of the Crusade more than 7,000 people registered commitments to Jesus Christ. One 28-year-old man said that he had heard a commercial for the "Christ is the Answer" Crusade. The man was skeptical, he wanted proof that Christ would be the solution to finding the peace that he sought. After hearing Franklin Graham's message, he said that he was feeling a joy in his heart that he had never felt before. He prayed, "Jesus, forgive me for my unbelief, because I know now that You are the solution!" A webcast of the "Christ is the Answer" Crusade, in English and Portuguese, will be available on-demand October 4-15. For more information, visit the Web site.
