In conjunction with the "Christ is the Answer" Crusade in Recife, Brazil, Franklin Graham held an Operation Christmas Child shoe-box distribution at an inner-city church in Recife. About 100 children -- many who have been living on the streets for more than five years -- heard a message about God's greatest gift to us in Jesus and then received a shoe-box gift. The local Youth With A Mission ministry, who has been working with Recife street children for about nine years, provided hot lunches for the children after the program.

Later, more than 51,000 people attended the second evening of the "Christ is the Answer" Crusade at Arruda Stadium. Focusing his message on Luke 19:1-10, Franklin Graham related the story of Zacchaeus, a little man who tried to see Jesus over the crowd.

"Many of you want to see Jesus," said Graham. "Maybe you feel that you're little in the eyes of God, not important -- but you are important to God. He loves you and He sent His Son from heaven to this earth for you. Zacchaeus wanted to come to Jesus. He knew that he was a sinner and he wanted forgiveness and rest for his soul. Do you want peace in your heart? You come to Jesus."

More than 1,800 people walked forward to make decisions for Jesus Christ.

Saturday begins with a morning children's meeting featuring the drama "Little Maria Discovers Jesus." The Crusade concludes Saturday evening.
