KU’s Roy Williams to Speak May 2 at Girls and Boys Town Booster Banquet

After winning another Big XII Championship and making his 13th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, University of Kansas Coach Roy Williams will be the featured speaker at Girls and Boys Town Booster Banquet on Thursday May 2.

The event, honoring Girls and Boys Town athletes, will begin at 7:15 p.m. at Holiday Inn Convention Center, 72nd and Grover Street in Omaha. More than a 1,000 children and adults are expected to attend this family oriented event.

Williams is one of the most respected coaches in the Division I today. With a .808 winning percentage and a record of 382-91, Williams is among the all-time winning Division I coaches.

Williams' Jayhawks became the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament and one of the favorites to win this year's national championship.

The Girls and Boys Town Boosters, a local group of business professionals, sponsor the annual banquet to raise funds for Girls and Boys Town athletic programs and benefit hundreds of children.
