Pie isn't just for Thanksgiving anymore!! Understanding today's pie revival is just the beginning of a whole new taste sensation. Apple, pumpkin and cherry pies are taking a back seat to the new generation of pies now on the marketplace. Kids love these new pies, in fact, we all love these new pies!! Cookies & Cream Pie, Reese's Peanut Butter Pie, ChocoMint Pie, Cappuccino Pie and Hershey's Chocolate Sundae Pie are just a few of the new pie flavors being created by members of the American Pie Council to appeal to a new generation of pie lovers.

We all remember Grandma baking her famous "apple pie" for the holidays. There is nothing like the smell of a pie baking to bring back memories of that nostalgic era. Although there are many pie lovers still baking their own pies, we can still enjoy that feeling and not have to actually make a pie from start to finish. It's putting the finishing touches on a pie that can make it our very own. Members of the American Pie Council are helping us do that. We can buy a fresh, frozen pie that we bake in the oven on our own. We can buy a crust and make the filling on our own or we can even buy an entire pie kit and put it together on our own. Pie can fit into our current, fast paced lifestyles.

With the advent of the gourmet pie, pie is fulfilling the needs of those who desire an upscale dessert. Professional pie chefs or your local supermarket bakeries have freshly baked pies available to fulfill your desire for a pie that will knock the socks off anyone you are trying to impress.
