AmeriCares Prepares for 5th Annual Celebration of Hope GalaAmeriCares Foundation AmeriCares, the international disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, will welcome 500 loyal donors and supporters at the 5th Annual Celebration of Hope Gala. The 2001 Celebration of Hope Gala will take place Wednesday, May 23, at 7:00pm at the Regent Wall Street, 55 Wall Street, New York City. As is tradition, President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush along with AmeriCares Founders Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Macauley will host the event. Harry Smith, host of Biography on A&E, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and the Peter Duchin String Ensemble will provide magnificent entertainment throughout the evening.  AmeriCares will honor two companies who have made significant contributions to AmeriCares work and missions in the United States and around the world. This year the Honorees are Quest Diagnostics and Reckitt Benkiser. AmeriCares' Media Recognition Award will this year be presented to CNN Pinnacle, for its outstanding coverage of AmeriCares' international relief missions.
