Triumph of Volunteer Teamwork Awaits You at AmeriCares HomeFrontAmeriCares Foundation Come experience the true meaning of neighbors helping neighbors If you are interested in directly impacting your community, AmeriCares HomeFront invites you to volunteer as we prepare for HomeFront Day 2001, one of Connecticut's largest domestic outreach programs. Now in its 14th year of service, AmeriCares HomeFront, held annually on the first Saturday in May, is a one-day community-based repair blitz that helps homeowners with physical and/or financial limitations remain warm, safe and dry in their own homes. The impact of HomeFront's volunteerism has now reached 1,550 repair projects. For the homeowners helped, those improvements far outlive the one-day event.  In order to make HomeFront Day a truce success, HomeFront relies on year-round volunteers to undertake many different tasks and projects in our office such as: conducting interviews with potential homeowner candidates, organizing supplies in our warehouses, assisting in mailings and data entry, researching potential building material donations and professional service contributions, securing sponsorship commitments, recruiting prospective HomeFront volunteer teams, etc.
