AmeriCares, the international and national disaster relief organization, is in the final stages of planning their 13th annual Airlift Dinner Dance for the evening of October 14, at the Westchester County Airport. The festive black-tie fundraiser is a "thank you" for the many people who have helped AmeriCares continue its relief missions around the world. Approximately fifty donors, medical professionals and staff will leave the Westchester County Airport at 10:30pm, and arrive in Guatemala early the next morning. The group will visit the hospitals and clinics served by AmeriCares and will get a firsthand look at how their contributions are distributed.

"AmeriCares is honored to have so many special guests attend this wonderful event year after year," says Robert Macauley, Founder and Chairman of AmeriCares. "The airlift to Guatemala will be a perfect opportunity for our donors to see where and how efficiently their donor dollars are spent."

Mariachi Bustamante and the Night Market Band will provide music for the evening. Incredible Edibles of Stamford will cater both the dinner and hors d'oeuvres. For $50 you can buy a chance at a raffle for either a three-night stay for two at the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris or a three-night stay for two at the Breakers in Palm Beach. The highlight of the benefit will take place when the hangar doors are rolled open to display a Boeing 737 jet loaded with several thousand pounds of medicines and medical supplies ready for take-off. The music will fade and the lights will dim as passengers board the aircraft. A tremendous 24 hours will be had by all.
