AmeriCares to Receive Wishing Well Proceeds from Stew Leonards

AmeriCares, the international and national disaster relief organization, announced today that it is the "Wishing Well" recipient of $465.50 from the farm fresh food store, Stew Leonard's in Norwalk, CT. A check will be presented to Mia Forte, Development Associate for AmeriCares on August 2 at 10:45 at the Stew Leonard's store in Norwalk, Connecticut.

"It is particularly gratifying to have a local corporation honor our efforts," says Robert Macauley. "Stew Leonard's has always had a strong commitment to community involvement and we appreciate its support."

Each day approximately 100,000 customers pass the "Wishing Well" and make wishes upon leaving the store. Each month the coins are collected and the funds are given to local and national worthy groups, such as The American Cancer Society, Courage to Speak Foundation, Lupus, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, MADD and many more.
