Brother’s Brother Foundation Ships Two Trailers Of Requested Donations To Guatemala On Thursday

June 26th Beginning At 10:00 AM Until 1:00 PM, From The Brother's Brother Warehouse At 1200 Galveston Avenue

Local representatives and the staff of Songs of Joy Orphanage in San Jacinto in Guatemala will be assisting BBF staff with the loading of the trailers. Songs of Joy director Robert Rose will be available to speak to the press on Thursday morning.

These trailers will contain heart and high blood pressure medication, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, and gastro intestinal drugs from BBF valued at $1,865,042, as well as wheelchairs and beds. The shipment also will include clothing and food donated by local Pittsburgh representatives from the Union Presbyterian Church in Robinson Township. Food For The Poor is helping to pay the shipping costs.

The Brother's Brother Foundation is a 46-year old Pittsburgh based international charity, has provided more than 69,000 tons of medical supplies, textbooks, food, seeds, and other humanitarian supplies to people around the world in over 110 countries using a combination of gifts from the general public, corporations and the US government. In 2002 alone BBF provided over $169,000,000 of relief help to those in need.
