ASPCA will be recognized with a special Proclamation presented by New York City Public Advocate Mark Green

The American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (ASPCA) will be recognized with a special Proclamation presented by New York City Public Advocate Mark Green to ASPCA President and CEO, Dr. Larry Hawk and Chairman of the Board, Steven M. Elkman announcing August 14th as ASPCA Day.

WHY: Established in 1866, The ASPCA is the first national companion animal welfare organization with a long and proud history of providing hands on animal assistance in New York City. Local services include: Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital, Humane Law Enforcement Division, Behavior Therapy Center, Counseling and Adoption Services. The ASPCA also plays a vital role in saving lives of companion animals throughout the United States. National programs include: humane education and shelter outreach, lobbying for animal legislation at federal, state and city levels and the Animal Poison Control Center.
