Beginning on August 4th shocking new cases, heartwarming updates and tails of love.

Animal Precinct, Animal Planet's hit television show that takes viewers on duty with ASPCA humane law enforcement agents will be entering into it's third season on August 4, 2003 at 10:00 PM (ET).

"The educational value of this series is immesurable," says Ed Sayres, ASPCA President. "The ASPCA has been fighting animal cruelty hands-on for more than a century in New York. By watching the work of our HLE agents on television, millions of Americans are learning about what constitutes animal cruelty." In 2002 the ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement department investigated close to 4,000 cases of suspected animal cruelty in New York City's five boroughs.

The premiere episode opens by following Special Investigator Annemarie Lucas and Special Agent JoAnn Sandano to Brooklyn as they investigate a case of three dogs and a litter of puppies suffering from severe neglect. Viewers will also be able to follow Special Agent Adam Gankiewicz and his partner to Harlem as they rescue an emaciated dog from a run down apartment. The dog's journey from hell to a new loving home is sure to tug at the heartstrings of everyone who has ever had the blessing of adopting a pet.

Animal Precinct, which received a 2001 Genesis Award for Outstanding Reality Programming, is a production of Anglia Television - a division of United Film and Television - for Animal Planet.
