Oldest animal welfare organization, ASPCA gives 21st century look to redesigned website.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is excited to introduce the redesign of Animaland.org, the organization's website geared towards children ages 7-12. In addition to its updated look, Animaland.org now features a "Real Issues" section that offers kid-friendly information about animal welfare issues such as animal testing, endangered species and animal abuse in circuses. Kids can also play innovative, multi-level educational games, e-mail animal related questions to ASPCA staff, participate in contests and learn about the latest news in the animal welfare community. "We are thrilled with the updated features and design of the site and hope that it continues to educate children about animals in a fun and challenging atmosphere," comments Mary Young, Web Designer for the ASPCA.

ASPCA humane educators provided the site with the latest animal welfare materials. Many of the same materials featured on Animaland.org are also taught in elementary schools throughout the country as part of the ASPCA Humane Education Program.

The site was designed with the help of designer and site architect Mike Leonardo and flash animator Tzanko Tchangov. In addition, Animaland.org promotional items will be made available in the ASPCA online store (http://www.cafeshops.com/aspca).
