ALF Initiates Drive Away Liver Disease Vehicle Donation ProgramAmerican Liver Foundation The American Liver Foundation (ALF) recently initiated its Drive Away Liver Disease program. Drive Away Liver Disease allows people to make a tax deductible donation of their used vehicles to the ALF. The program provides people with a simple and efficient way of getting rid of a used vehicle. In addition to the benefit of making a charitable donation to the Foundation, there is no hassle of advertising, fixing and independently selling a vehicle. The American Liver Foundation is able to provide the Drive Away Liver Disease program through the National Vehicle Donation Program. Requirements for donating your car include a title in the donor's name, information on the vehicle make, model, vehicle identification number and current mileage. Donated vehicles must be whole (e.g. no missing engines) but do not have to run. Another benefit of donating a vehicle through Drive Away Liver Disease is that the vehicle will be picked up for you. "Drive Away Liver Disease represents another great way to join us in the fight against hepatitis and other liver diseases," said Alan Brownstein, president and CEO, American Liver Foundation. "We encourage people to take advantage of this wonderful and unique opportunity to give." For more information about the program, or to donate your vehicle, please visit www.liverfoundation.org or call 1-800-GO-LIVER or 1-800-456-5517. The Drive Away Liver Disease program operates in all 50 states as well as in Canada.
