Pharmaceutical Leader Presented With Excellence Award for Its Continued Support In the Fight Against Liver Disease

The American Liver Foundation (ALF) has honored Schering-Plough with a special award for its excellence in corporate leadership in recognition of the company's outstanding and continued support for helping in the fight against liver disease. Schering-Plough, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry and a longtime partner of the ALF, has been instrumental in the development of activities for the ALF's nationwide chapter network and in their continued efforts to help prevent, treat and cure hepatitis and other liver diseases. The award was presented to Fred Hassan, Schering-Plough Chairman and CEO, at a ceremony at the ALF national office in New York.
