In response to Hurricane Isabel, Pepco Holdings, parent company of Pepco and Conectiv, is challenging the public to make donations to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Pepco or Conectiv will match dollar for dollar any donations given by November 30, 2003, to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund up to $100,000. Pepco Holdings is aware of the importance of a viable Disaster Relief Fund to enable the American Red Cross to respond immediately to the emergency needs of disaster victims. To promote this fundraising opportunity, Pepco and Conectiv are placing paid advertisements in local weekly and daily newspapers in MD, DE, DC and NJ. The ads will include a matching gift coupon that will enable the Red Cross to track any donations that are submitted through this offer. Gifts that are given through the American Red Cross online donation site on www.redcross.org will also be matched by Pepco/Conectiv.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need. Call 1-800-HELP NOW or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish). Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund may be sent to your local American Red Cross chapter or to the American Red Cross, P. O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.
