White Directory Publishers Donates $25,000 to the USO to Support Our Troops

White Directory Publishers – The Talking Phone Book – is donating $25,000 to the USO in recognition of the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. The donation was designated by the Buffalo-based company's founder Wilbur D. Lewis and is being made posthumously in his honor.

Edward A. Powell, USO president and CEO, said: "The USO is extremely grateful to White Directory Publishers and the Lewis family for this generous donation. The USO depends on the generosity of organizations like White Directory to help us carry out our mission to enhance the quality of life for military personnel and their families around the world."

"White Directory Publishers is proud to make this contribution to the USO and the men and women who serve our country," said Rick Lewis, president and CEO. "My father's decision to make this contribution was very heartfelt. For 30 years, he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserves, which gave him a profound respect for our country and those who risk their lives for our freedom."

The donation stems from a percentage of last year's advertising revenue. White Directory is continuing the program again this year.
