ConAgra Foods Donates Bags of Snacks to the USO for Service Members Overseas

The USO today announced that ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE: CAG), one of America's leading packaged food companies, has donated 100,000 bags of snacks to the USO to distribute to service members overseas.

The bags are filled with such items as DAVID® sunflower seeds, Pemmican® beef jerky, Slim Jim® deli sticks and ACT II® popcorn. USO Centers in Japan, Korea and Europe are redistributing the bags to service members based locally and forwarding them to units deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Thailand, Diego Garcia, Korea's Demilitarized Zone and the Philippines.

Edward A. Powell, USO president and CEO, said: "The USO is extremely grateful to ConAgra Foods for this generous donation in support of our men and women in uniform. These treats will come as welcome gifts to service members, some of whom are serving in remote locations. Contributions from companies like ConAgra Foods show them that we appreciate their sacrifices on behalf of our country."
