Action Star Hosts Screenings of T3: Rise of the Machines

The USO and Armed Forces Entertainment are sending Arnold Schwarzenegger to visit with service members in the Persian Gulf for July 4th. During the tour, Schwarzenegger's new movie, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," which opens stateside July 2, released by Warner Bros. Pictures, will be screened. His visit will include meeting with troops and dining with them on MREs (meals ready to eat), as well as touring duty stations at several locations in the region.

Schwarzenegger, a long-time supporter of the American armed forces, visited troops on a USO/AFE tour last year, when he previewed his movie "Collateral Damage" for service members in Bosnia. He recently returned from a visit with wounded soldiers at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland and surprised more than 1,500 marines at Camp Pendleton with the first public screening of the highly anticipated film.

Schwarzenegger has a broad range of career successes, including producing athletic competitions, acting, directing, accomplished business ventures and community service involvement. Prior to launching his film career, he was a competitive body builder, earning an unprecedented 13 world titles. In 1989, he started the Annual Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic body-building competition.

Following his athletic achievements, Schwarzenegger began his acting career. Some of his films include "The Terminator," "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," "Total Recall," "True Lies," "Eraser" and "The Sixth Day."

He also is involved in a number of youth-oriented philanthropic organizations around the world, including Special Olympics, Arnold's All Stars and the Inner-City Games Foundation, for which he founded and serves as National Chairman.
