UCP Announces Greyhound as Its First Travelease PartnerUnited Cerebral Palsy Associations People with Disabilities to Benefit from Enhanced Travel Opportunities DALLAS (December 4, 2000) -- UCP announced Greyhound Lines, Inc. as its first TravelEase partner. TravelEase is a program designed to enhance and improve the travel experience and opportunities for people with disabilities. "UCP is excited to have Greyhound as its first TravelEase partner," said Kirsten Nyrop, executive director, UCP. "UCP will provide guidance to Greyhound on the accessibility and accommodation concerns of persons with disabilities." "We are delighted to work with UCP," said Ralph Borland, vice president of marketing, Greyhound Lines, Inc. "This community is important to us, and this relationship will allow us the ability to offer better services to passengers with disabilities." The TravelEase symbol denotes a level of performance and understanding of their needs; therefore, people with disabilities, their family and support persons can expect a consistent delivery of service from Greyhound Lines. TravelEase is granted by UCP on an exclusive basis. To receive this designation, participating companies must have taken and or plan to take clear steps to enhance their accommodations for people with disabilities. In the future UCP intends to work with travel and destination companies -- regional, national and international - with an expressed marketing objective of becoming a carrier-of-choice for persons with disabilities.
