How Many More African Christians Will Be Nailed To Trees, Before The World Takes Action?Samaritan's Purse Franklin Graham, president of an international relief organization and son of the Rev. Billy Graham returns to the U.S. Sunday, April 8, from Sudan, where Christian women and children have been nailed to trees with iron spikes. Those who escape that atrocity may face slaughter, being burned alive, or enslavement. Franklin Graham's relief organization, Samaritan's Purse, operates a hospital in Sudan where, despite seven bombing attacks by the Sudanese government, more than 100,000 people have found medical help. As reported in the latest issues of U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek, Franklin Graham and Samaritan's Purse are among those leading the moral charge for human rights in southern Sudan. Secretary of State Colin Powell is quoted as saying, "There is perhaps no greater tragedy on the face of the earth today than the tragedy that is unfolding in the Sudan." Graham says America and the rest of the world has an obligation to get involved to end the ongoing butchery by the Khartoum regime.
