American Kidney Fund Names Senior Director Of CommunicationsAmerican Kidney Fund The American Kidney Fund (AKF) has named Sandra Palmer as Senior Director of Communications. Following a 14-year broadcasting career, Palmer directed media outreach for the Maryland Department of the Environment, while acting as its primary spokesperson. She was then mainland spokesperson and special assistant to Guam Governor Carl T.C. Gutierrez, in his Washington, D.C., office. AKF Executive Director Karen Sendelback said, "The American Kidney Fund is delighted to welcome Sandra to our staff. We know she will help to raise public awareness about the realities of kidney disease and its more than 370,000 patients in the United States." "I am excited to join AKF's dedicated and professional staff.
