Former AMA President Addresses Future Colleagues

Chicago – The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine (NYLF/MED) today welcomed Dr. Thomas A. Reardon, former president of the American Medical Association welcomed the students to Chicago and challenged them to learn as much as possible during their experience with MED.

His message was one of optimism: "The future is wide open. Medical advances in the development of antibiotics, immunizations and most recently the completion of the Human Genome Project are inspiring and encouraging, indeed. But we must all be warned that such accomplishments should be approached with strict attention to privacy and confidentiality for the patient."
