Connie Francis to Perform in Redbank, NJ at the Count Basie TheaterNational Foundation for Cancer Research Connie Francis is set to perform at the Tenth Annual Vincent Rugnetta Memorial Concert on Saturday, October 12th at 8:00 p.m. The concert will take place at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ. All proceeds will benefit The National Foundation for Cancer Research. This year's concert features the New Jersey native Connie Francis, legendary star of stage, screen and television, with opening acts performed by The Cryers and Water's Edge. Ms. Francis has recorded more than 70LPs (US) and three motion picture soundtrack albums, including "Who's Sorry Now", "Lipstick on Your Collar" and "Where the Boys Are". Connie Francis, a Newark native, made her first appearance as a young child on a New York City television show featuring talented children. Joining Connie will be two other local New Jersey groups, The Cryers and Water's Edge. The Cryers guided by musical director Joe Orlando plays classic rock n ' roll with harmony vocals. Water's Edge is comprised of musicians aged 13 through 16 delivering hits such as "My Girl" and "Brown Eyed Girl".
