IDF Chief of Staff Visits AJC HeadquartersAmerican Jewish Committee General Shaul Mofaz, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Force visited the American Jewish Committee yesterday to meet with top AJC leaders. During the 90-minute session General Mofaz provided a military and security analysis of the Palestinian terror war against Israel. The IDF Chief of Staff made a clear distinction between the Palestinian people, who deserve a bright future, and the Palestinian leadership, who have endorsed and orchestrated a campaign of terror against the Israeli people. He expressed hope that the Palestinians would end their strategy of terrorism, so that direct negotiations aimed at resolving all outstanding issues of the conflict could resume again.  He spoke with pride of the resolve of the Israeli military and people, and stated that high standards of ethical behavior are a central tenet of the training of all IDF troops and their commanders.
