AJC Executive Committee Arrives in Israel

A top American Jewish Committee delegation arrived in Jerusalem over the weekend for the annual AJC Executive Committee visit to Israel. The delegation, led by AJC President Harold Tanner and Executive Director David A. Harris, will discuss with senior Israeli officials ways AJC and other American Jews can reinforce further U.S.-Israel strategic relations, broadening support for Israel worldwide and deepening ties between American Jews and Israelis.

The delegation also willl hold a special ceremony to commemorate Israeli victims of Palestinian terrorism.

The annual AJC visit also includes high-level political meetings in other countries. The group will later this week visit Paris, Madrid and Brussels for discussions with government officials as well as with Jewish communal leadership. Several members of the delegation visited Turkey on the way to Israel.
