American Jewish Committee Condemns JDL Terrorist Plot Against Arabs, MuslimsAmerican Jewish Committee The American Jewish Committee issued the following statement today after Jewish Defense League head Irv Rubin and another JDL member were arrested on suspicion of plotting to bomb several Arab and Muslim sites, including a mosque and the office of a member of Congress, in California. "If the allegations against the JDL are true, they are extraordinarily serious," said the American Jewish Committee. "We have long regarded the JDL as an extremist group. Any plan to use violence against another faith or ethnic group – indeed, to attack a house of worship – is terrorism, plain and simple. The American Jewish Committee categorically condemns in the strongest possible terms the alleged JDL plot."
