American Jewish Committee Leaders Discuss Terrorism with Top Administration OfficialsAmerican Jewish Committee American Jewish Committee President Harold Tanner and Executive Director David A. Harris met yesterday with National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice for an extensive discussion of the war against terrorism. The AJC leadership delegation also met with FBI Director Robert Mueller. These discussions were part of a daylong series of meetings in Washington AJC held with senior Administration officials to discuss the war against terrorism, and the threats Americans face around the world as well as at home. They also discussed Israel's ongoing quest for peace. In addition to Dr. Rice and Mr. Mueller, the AJC leaders met with senior officials at the State Department and the National Security Council who deal directly with counter-terrorism and with the Middle East. The AJC delegation also included Robert Goodkind, chairman of the AJC's Board of Governors; Dottie Bennett, chairman of AJC's National Council; and, Jason Isaacson, director of AJC's Office of Government and International Affairs.
