Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. has contributed $5,000 to the American Jewish Committee's landmark Catholic-Jewish education program.

The ConEd grant will support the Catholic/Jewish Educational Enrichment Program (C/JEEP) in New York City, which is active in two Catholic and one Jewish high schools.

C/JEEP is a six-year old program that sends rabbis into Catholic high schools and priests and sisters into Jewish high schools to deepen mutual understanding about Judaism and Catholicism. Operating in five cities across the nation, the program has been supported by a grant from Steven Spielberg's Righteous Persons Foundation, and administered by Dr. Amy Rosenbaum, AJC's Assistant Director of Interreligious Affairs.

The ConEd grant is the first corporate sponsorship of the C/JEEP program in New York.
