American Jewish Committee visits with President ClintonAmerican Jewish Committee An American Jewish Committee delegation visited President Clinton today at the Oval Office on the occasion of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, and presented the president with a copy of the AJC statement "We Remember!" which appeared on the op-ed page of today's New York Times. The visit took place on the opening day of the American Jewish Committee's Annual Meeting, which will run through Friday, May 5, at the Capital Hilton Hotel. During the Oval Office visit, the delegation led by AJC President Bruce M. Ramer, of Los Angeles, expressed profound concern about the trial of 13 Jews in Iran. The President shared AJC's concern. The AJC delegation also voiced support for American efforts to press forward with the peace process, and the President indicated his hope that progress on the Israeli-Palestinian track would be achieved in the coming months.
