Online Photo Album Showcases Spring LuncheonNational Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. is displaying photos from the recent Spring Awards Luncheon at Tavern on the Green in New York via the world wide web. Snapshots posted on NCADD's website in the Luncheon Photo Album highlight the event, which was attend by 350 guests. Actor John Spencer accepted the R. Brinkley Smithers Award on behalf of the staff of "West Wing." An additional R. Brinkley Smithers Award was posthumously awarded to actor Jason Robards, Jr. This award was accepted by Lois Robards and their son, Jason, on his behalf. "This is the second consecutive year that we, along with our New York City Affiliate, the Alcoholism Council of New York, have hosted this great event and I'm pleased to see that it is more successful this year than last!" declared Stacia Murphy, NCADD president. "We're delighted to share this event via the online photo album with our Affiliates, Board Members and other supporters who were not able to attend." Photographs include Affiliate directors, staff and board members as well as members serving on the National Board. Candid shots of the popular auction of celebrity items feature a "West Wing" script signed by Spencer, Tiger Woods' golf bag, Derek Jeter's autographed baseball glove, and Andy Pettitte's autographed shoes, hat and glove. The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) fights the stigma and the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions.
